Our view
The preclinical case for cytotoxic activity is long established; the clinical case is not yet made. What makes this review useful is its focus on non-psychoactive compounds such as CBD and CBG, where the regulatory and tolerability obstacles are lower, and on the microbiome as a mediating factor in patients receiving immunotherapy. None of it should be read as support for cannabinoids as a cancer treatment. It is a research agenda, not a therapy.
